My parents have these round white afro hairstyles which seem to be quite outdated. Every bichon in salons is cut this way cry while my poodle friends get many hair cut style choices (they are all so beautiful). Mummy has been using different poodle hair styles on me. Why can't these salons have more style selections when cutting Bichons like me? Besides I have A LOT of hair for various creative styling cry

Snowy you sure are cute! I think it depends because some styles are very hard for lay people who have jobs and lives to maintain. I love the round headed, big legged look but it just isn't practical on me. Mom has them cut my body pretty short but luckily I am a stud muffin so that looks great on me. My head is longer but still not the round puff I'd like. I think my Dumbo ears stick out on the sides too much anyway!

eekeekeekMaybe your Mom could find a picture of a style she likes and take it to the groomer. There's a bunch of different "looks" on our furiends at BLC. She thinks I look cutest with a kind've "Sugarbear" cut. It's poofy on top, but not as round or long on the face as that show dog cut. That's good for me because I hate having my face brushed or combed. xoxoxoxoxo Roxie

IT'S BECAUSE THE GROOMERS DON'T KNOW ENOUGH. THEY CUT A BICHON TO LOOK LIKE A POOFY POODLE HEAD, AND THEY LEAVE THE EARS LONG LIKE A POODLE.
FIND ANOTHER GROOMER WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
THAT'S WHAT MY MOM DID.
THE GROOMER HAS DYED BLACK HAIR AND TATTOOS ALL OVER HER ARMS, BUT SHE LOVES DOGS, AND DOES A GOOD JOB!

Hey I spent a lot of time lookin like a white schnauzer when I first came to live wif my Mom. Then we found a groomer who can do a bichon cut. Don't tell no one but I'm not full bichon. Momma says I gots some poodle in me. My hairs is really thin an funky so I gets a kinda puppy cut that is shorter than a regular bichon cut. My brother Old Stink-face...well the groomer says he is 'booooootiful' *gag* and has a 'maaahhhhhhvolus' head and hairs so she does his head and neck in the round bichon way. She would like to leave him long all over but Momma says NO WAY unless she wants to come over and fight with Old Stink-face bout gettin his hairs brushed and alla the yard debris pulled outta his 'maahhhhvolus' tail hair.
