Glad to hear there has been a little progress between both of you. Mom use to have a Westie and when he was about 1 1/2 yrs old decided to get him a little brother so brought home a 3 month old Lhasa Apso. They had similar issues even tho the Big Brother wasn't as old as you, Heidi. One day the Westie was napping in his bed on one side of the living room and the baby Lhasa was napping in the middle of the floor on the other side with no possessions near him. Mom was in the kitchen and heard a loud squeal so turned around to see the Westie straddling the baby Lhasa (on his back) and had his teeth in his neck. For no apparent reason he attacked the baby while he was napping. It did draw blood so he was dead serious about doing him harm. Little by little the Westie accepted the Lhasa and they were eventually best buds. She had to do play sessions like your Mom has been doing with you and at any sign of aggression she corrected the Westie immediately. You will be so happy to have a best friend and we'll be happy for ya!

Well I can't believe my doggie bones. I now have so much fun everyday playing with my brother. I let him play with all of my toys and he even steals bones out of my mouth. We run around so much that I am out of breath. I lay down and he jumps on me, then he lays down and I jump on him. I haven't even bit him once. I love my brother!

Pookie here. Yes! Heidi and I are getting along super GREAT! And now even Penny ur big Cocker Spaniel sister is starting to like me too. She used to snap at me and her mouth is so big it scared me, but now she even licks me and lets me lay next to her and run underneath her and play. I love my new home and could not have asked for nicer Pawrents. I especially love my new mommy.

Don't feel bad Heidi, I was 8 when my mom decided to get me a puppy sister. I wasn't too happy about the idea at first but my vet assured mom that within 3 to 4 weeks I'd love her and guess what I do. Sometimes she is still a pain but I still love her. If you pawrents are worried about you being grumpy with the puppy, it is a very common way for fluffs to correct puppies by doing this. Mom use to tell me I didn't have to be such a good teacher and just have fun laugh out loud

I'm glad you are liking your new sibling isn't it fun to blitz and play with someone just like youhappy dancehappy dance
