 | | | | Hi everyone.
I am thankful for a lot of things in my life every day, but there is one thing that I am particularly thankful for - FAST FOOD!
My daddy is very strict about my diet because I am a show dog and have to be lean, mean, toned to the bone, and super fit for the showring.
Daddy insists that I have an almost solely home made, organic diet that makes my coat shine, my eyes sparkle, and gives me lots of energy for the training schedule we have in our doggy family.
There is only one thing wrong with this!
I don't like this food. I don't like any dried doggy food diet either. I don't like any canned doggy food, or just any dog food in general!
I have been known to starve myself for three whole days in a row because I refused to eat dog food.
However I do love anything with a garlic tomato sauce, french fries, cheese, pasta, fried chicken, fried fish - anything that I go out in the car with mommy or daddy to buy for their dinner at night.
Mommy has even been known to buy me a cheese burger as a reward if I eat my healthy diet first!
You may have images going through your mind of me gulping my fast food down as most dogs would.
NO! I never do that!
When I get given a cheese burger I take it to my doggy bed, lie down with it between my paws and gently take the top part of the bun off the burger. I lick all the mustard and ketchup off before I eat that part of the bun. Next I eat the pickle and then the meat and cheese. I take tiny little bites and chew it forever, just so as I can make the most of the taste. I eat the last part of the bun, wishing there was another cheese burger waiting for me somewhere! After I have finished I lick and lick my paws, trying to find some lost crumb amongst my fur!
When I am given a piece of my favorite pizza I take it to my doggy bed and lick it all over. I always eat the olives first, because I really like olives. Next I eat the cheese topping with the anchovies melted in it - mmmmmmm I like those salty little fish. I eat the vegetables next, along with the meat. After that I lick and lick the tomato sauce off the crust, savoring every tiny morsel of it and then eat the crust.
People at the dog shows are continuously asking mommy what the secret is to my enviable amazing plush coat that shimmers and shines in the sun like no other doggies!
Mommy just tells them it is all in my food, and daddy says - "you really don't want to know!"
So, I am especially thankful for La Porchetta Pizza and the drive thru at McWoofs. | | | | |
