I love your ghost stories! There are no ghosts in the house we live in now, but before I was born, mommy lived in an old house in Massachusetts. The previous owners had a cat, but when they moved to Florida they couldn't bring her along. They thought that she was so old that nobody would want her so they had her put to sleep! Too bad they didn't ask mommy - she would have kept her. Anyway, mommy didn't know about this at all. She had a Persian cat named Miss Dusty Muffet at the time. Sometimes Dusty would look at the stairs and chase something (playfully) on the stairway. Frequently, mommy and daddy (and guests, too) would see a kitty running up the stairs (but it wasn't Dusty because she was with them). This went on for a few years. One day the previous owners came to visit their old house and told mommy about their cat. They said that they felt horrible about what they had done and given the chance to go back in time, they would have done things differently. The woman even cried.
Nobody ever saw the ghost-kitty again after that day. She must have finally found peace. | | | | |
