Things are getting better.... except they both picked up fleas on thier little adverture!!frown

They are both in the house and Cookie's back to her old self. I do believe she very much regrets her decision to follow Smarty's lead wink

Smarty... well... she's still a handful, but hopefully she will try following Cookie's lead this time and chill out. I'll look into the aroma therapy (lol) mentioned. I appreciate the input.

If just moving all your crap isn't enuf reason to NOT move again... these two cats sure are!!! wink

When I moved into my new place it took one of my cats a while to adjust. Locking them up in a crate or large carrier might make it worse. If you can I would put them in your bedroom or computer room (with their own potty box, water, and food). One that you ro another family member is in often but has a door to actually keep them in there and only there. This way they can get acustom to the noise, smells, and just have to deal with adjusting to one room at a time. They might hide under the bed or in a closet (or draw) but give them a day or so and they will be looking to leave the room on their own. This way might be less tramatizing since they are not being forced to confront anything they are not ready too.. but they are also confined and safe and can venture on their own when they feel ready to. Just a suggestion but it worked for my older female smile

Good luck! i am sure it will work out sometimes they just need time to do things on their own terms LOL. Go for the zodiac flea and tick treatment (the one where you put the liquid between the shoulder blades). Works the best & lasts for a while (i think 3 mths).

Petunia, I tried confining them to just a room and my SmartyCat popped/flew around the room like some wild crazed cat slamming into walls and windows. I put her/them in the crate cuz I was afraid Smarty was going to seriously hurt herself. I only put Cookie in the crate cuz she seemed to keep Smarty calm.

I dunno... i'm just glad it's over!! We are all living freely in the house and things are back to normal. cloud 9

Thanks for the advice and stories. I was really frustrated and concerned!
