Kittanna-She pretty much ALWAYS sleeps with me. She's got the softest, most beautiful paws. She's great entertainment when she gets into her 'feather' mood. She meets me at the door (on the end of the counter) when I come home then gets down and flops on her back on the rug for attention.
Zilla-Her attitude... it's the aloofness I wish I could have sometimes. She's got the most beautiful green eyes I've ever seen on a cat. She's absolutely precious when she's wanting her babyfood.
The non-black kitties...
Taillee-She's my talker with a different meow for each mood/want. I'm loving seeing her fur get so soft and fluffy on the new food. Anytime I want some loving, I KNOW this is the cat I can count on... she's always up for attention!
Lilly-All that fur!!! And she loves to have that thick butt fur scratched and does the happy paws thing with her back feet when I do it... or tries to... can't pick up both back feet at the same time. She is always on the counter when I'm in the kitchen... while this does make it hard to cook without fur in the food, she's great company. She doesn't like to be held, but she's the ultimate lap cat!
Well, with Perla (my black kitty), I love how she picked ME out to be her mom. It was kind of like she saw me and knew she wanted me to be her mom forever. She follows me around, and she would love it if she could have me all to herself.
I have five other kitties, and I love them all for their playfulness and their little individual quirks. I also love how they groom each other and sometimes curl up with each other to sleep. I always wanted kitties who would do that... and now I have it.
Except for Perla, who really doesn't care for the other kitties in the house at all. She only has eyes for mommy!
what do i love most about my kitties??? ...i guess the one certain thing is how they all gather round if one doesn't feel well...it's like they all put their energy into making the other feel better...the "medicine cats" i call them. other than that there is no one specific thing as all 20 of them have their own individual personalities and they all have that special way that cats have of making me love everything about them
I love it when they all come running to greet me when I get home from work. They get treats, and I get the rush of love in their overwhelming greeting of purrs, rough kisses and furry cuddles. And that makes the long hours and the hellish commute home worth it!
I love the fact that they love me for me. If I'm tired they lay beside me, if I cry they come to comfort me. They ask for nothing but the basics of life:love, food, water, shelter, kindness, etc. If we could just try to give those things to each other maybe the world wouldn't seem so distant to us while we have the chance to share it with each other.
Well, I have three kitties at Rainbow Bridge and I loved them all and miss them so very much.
Sammy, my black kitty was such a lover and always wanted to give head butts. He was my expert garden helper.
Smokey was my Christmas kitty. He was very independent but very affectionate when he wanted to be. He was a beautiful blue/gray color and almost looked blue in the sunlight.
Hazel was my love bug. She was always running and playing but when I would take a nap or go to sleep at night, she was always there to cuddle.
My two earth kitties are Pickles & Tuffy.
Tuffy is a polydactyl and very handsome. Not quite as affectionate as I would like but he was an outside kitty most of his life and is still getting used to being an inside kitty; he loves it! But he is always just a tad skittish when he hears any noises.
Pickles is quite the feisty one. She just moved into our garage around Christmas time and took right over. Took Tuffy's basket and all of his favorite spots in the house too. She is definitely the boss but she is so loving and sweet.
Funny how they all have their own purrsonalities.
Bear is my sweet cuddle kitty, he will snuggle with me for hours if he could. He has the most gentle disposition and loves everyone, especially likes to rub his face on men's beards
My non-black kitties
Marmi was a partly feral cat given to me by a friend and she still tends to be somewhat skittish, runs and hides when anyone comes over, but she likes to cuddle with me at night
Squirrel, Marmi's baby, is very skittish and has that deer in the headlights look a lot of the time, but lets me pick her up now, and she likes to sit next to me.
Snickers, my Tortie, is very vocal. When I come home in the evening she is waiting to tell me all the things that happened that day. And she tattles on the others. She will not be held, but will snuggle with me in the bed.
Daisey Mae, my daughters kitty has recently come to live with us, she was an only cat, so getting used to 4 new cats has been a big adjustment for her. She stays mostly in her bedroom and hisses when she sees the others and will not let me even pet her. But we're working on it.
They bring lots of love and fun into the house and I can't imagine not having them.
One of the things I love most about my Monkey Dunky is his affinity for veggies. I called the vet to make sure the foods he likes best are ok for him to have in small amounts. She says it's fine for him to have tiny bits of broccoli as long as he doesn't get gassy.
As for what I love absolutely most about him... he's just a sweet little Dunky-Doo!!! A sweet little Dunky-Doo with bright soulful eyes and a funny little meow.
