We miss you fiercely, Toulouse. We agree, we want it to be Siamese Lovers AROUND THE WORLD. We, too, feel bad that kitty feelings got hurt, especially when Ruby was crossing to the Bridge at the same time. We wish Chai felt able to return to the group; we respect that she doesn't.

But we MISS YOU! Please return to us if you feel able.

I haven't been very active but ... just reading these posts reminds me of some problems that my sisfur, Morticia, was seeing in her main group, BCCP (Black Cats Crossing Our Paths) ... they had the same issue come up, where some non-black kitties wanted to join - and *I* thought this reflected SO highly on the group as a whole - because of how much fun BCCP members always seemed to have, how loving they all were, etc. etc.

Then one black kit got a little upset because some other non-black kitties had been let in, but his non-black brofur (the upset kitty WAS black and a BCCP member) was not allowed to join - because he wasn't black!

Finally I think they worked this all out by saying that the group WAS for black kitties ONLY and that was that. They didn't want to hurt any purr's feelings but that was how the group was originally structured and that was going to be enforced 100% from then on. The non-black members already in were allowed to stay, and THEY all seemed to understand the issues involved & had no problem with the rule clarification.

No purr, according to Morticia, seemed to get bent out of shape (at least not publically on the BCCP boards) and it was all worked out.

I know it's SO HARD to say "NO" to another kitty that sincerely wants to join a group - ANY group - but if you guys made it a policy that this is a Siamese-only group, that's what it should be unless there is an OVERWHELMING desire by a majority of the group members to change that.

Now, please, don't ANYPURR get mad at me, I'm just purring my thoughts. I don't care if non-Meezers come here, purrsonally. I'll welcome ANYone and be nice to all 'cuz that's who I am! But my own main purpose for joining WAS to meet other Meezers and other Meezer lovers (in my MomKatt's case). We meet other Aby lovers, for example, in Aby groups, and other black kitty lovers in the BCCP group.

I hope I've made my points clearly. If not, please let me know if I miaowed something that wasn't totally clear! I just hope Chai WILL come back - she's SUCH a sweet lady. I really like her & she was one of the first to befurrend me when I joined this group! She and Toulouse just rock and I hate to see ANY kits unhappy or not getting along. We all have to stick together, you know!

I hope no one else leaves, too!

Cagnie and I agree with Sasha....We think the name should come back, Any non-Siamese who have joined should be welcome to stay, but the original structure should be put back in place.

We too miss Chai and hope for her return one day, but respect her wishes and descision,

One addition though, I see no reason not to invite any kitty to our parties. If we hold them in their own group, I feel we all should be able to invite fumilies and friends at will. The should be able to see jus how great this group and Meezers are.

I agree with Lacy, Cagnie and Shasha.

I wanted to add that I just feel a sense of sadness, of a loss, due to what has happened to this group. This is a huge Siamese group that I’m afraid is going to go downhill due to inactivity. You know, one of those boards here at Catster that have hundreds of members (and a regular stream of new members that join because they see a large membership and they’re hoping to connect with an active group) but nobody chats and posts go unanswered. My angel cats and I belonged to a few of those groups and Meowmy finally did some “housekeeping” and removed us from their membership. They’re just inactive groups. And I hate to see that happen here to this group. frown

Oh Billy - VERY good point! And that would be horrible! Just my luck - we will just HAVE to keep things going.

Frankly I just logged on to the board (it's Sat. night about 5:40 EST) and was shocked to see one other message after the one I left yesterday to Toulouse (on the main board) but nothing else! frown

Please, please everyone - don't give up on the group!
