Our dearly beloved Ruby crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. I thought it might bring us some comfort to remember her together. If you have a thought or a story or something you think might help us through this sad time please post it here.

I'm so sorry. This month, I lost my best friend, a senior horse named Diamond. I still miss him terribly. Ruby knows how much you love her. Someone sent me these when I lost my special friend. God bless, Eva and Liza


A Parting Prayer

Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge.

Assign her to a place of honor,
for she has been a faithful servant
and has always done her best to please me.

Bless the hands that send her to you,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing her from pain and suffering.

Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of her life
with the love she has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor her
by sharing those memories with others.

Let her remember me as well
and let her know that I will always love her.
And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise,
please allow her to accompany those
who will bring me home.

Thank you, Lord,
for the gift of her companionship
and for the time we've had together.

And thank you, Lord,
for granting me the strength
to give her to you now.

I was just remembering the first time I met Ruby. I was new in the group and we took our trip to Disneyland. Ruby was the Stewardess on the Catster Jet and she was so sweet. The minute I met her I knew we would be fast friends.

Ruby always thought of others before herself. Even though she could not come to the weekend Christmas pawty in Tahoe, she and her brofurs made a special trip up there before the pawty started. Ruby decorated the house and the boys chopped wood and cleared the driveway.

Ruby was always cheerful and supportive. She appreciated even the smallest kindness. And when she attended any activity she added her own special spark just by being there.

She's always been an angel, the only difference now is she is at the Bridge.

I love you my sweet Ruby!

Ruby is a dear friend, even though we only knew each other for a short time. She was a light in my life. A role model for a meezer to follow. Sweet, loving and caring to everyone, Ruby is a light in my life and everyone she touched.

I remember the first time I met Ruby. We actually met on the hayride. Her and I held paws through out the scary graveyard. I Her and I became close furriends. She is now a beautiful angel and I will never forget how sweet, loving and beautiful she was. I purred and purrayed my hardest for her to get better. It wasn't meant to be and God wanted her to come home to Him. I am soooo sad that this had to happen to Ruby!
I didn't know Ruby that long but she made me feel like I knew her my whole life!! I will always remember and love her!!! Rest in peace my sweet furriend! I will always LOVE you!!!

I wanted to say that I am very sad about Ruby passing onto the bridge today! I know that she is in a better place and is not suffering anymore. She is playing and having fun chasing all the butterflies and birdies at the bridge. God called her home to be with Him. All our thoughts and prayers are going out to Ruby's furramily!! We love you, Ruby!
