Well...what did you all think?

I just finished about 10 minutes ago. I have to say that I am satisfied. It answered all of the questions I needed answered and I was very happy with the outcome.

I cried A LOT...sobbed throughout practically the whole book.

I had never imagined the depth to which we got to know Albus in the book. And Snape...I am floored. While I knew he was always the good guy I did not realize the extent to which he went to save everything. I absolutely loved the names of the kids at the end.

I have not slept so I am going to go get some sleep. I wanted to see if anyone else had posted about it yet. I'll be back after a short nap!

I agree, Mia. This book was just wonderful. I would never have expected most of what happened, but it was brilliant. I'm thinking it may just be my favourite.

The epilogue was heartwarming. I always knew that little Harrys would be running around at some point. wink

I don't even know what else to say. I'm still in shock that it's over.

I still cannot believe how complicated the book was. I am trying to think back remember everthing. I re-read the last chapter a few times.

I feel like I missed some of it because I was in a hurry to see what happened...it was so complicated but so BRILLIANT! I about died when Harry found out what he finally had to do. I knew that he wouldn't try to defend himself...but I didn't realize that was what it would take to save them all.

I knew it was Petunia who was jealous!

I was not suprised when I found out that Snape was in love with Lily. I had heard the rumours and the theories. I did not realize their history though. Unreal. Did we have any idea from the other books that they grew up together?

And Neville...I knew he would do it. He was amazing. I can't believe how well he turned out...I scarcely remember the little boy who kept misplacing his toad and could never remember the password.

There is just so much to talk about...

I started crying as soon as I saw Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, and Fluer line up to drink their polyjuice potions.

I didn't even mention the Hallows...who would have thought!

And Albus...I would have never thought. I was completely suprised by this one. And then...in the end I was suprised again!

And Aberforth! Brilliant...

Oh, I know. Those last few chapters were mind bending. I like that Snape and Lily had that connection from before Hogwarts. It solidified that affection and made perfect sense. And Petunia is completely rotten. Thank God Dudley figured out how to be friendly in the end.

Did you just love that line Molly said to Bellatrix (which I believe to be inappropriate for the forums)? That's the best line from the whole book, if not the entire series.

I can't believe I didn't cry. I really though I was going to burst after Fred, Remus and Tonks kicked the bucket, but somehow the tears never came. Hedwig's death was surprising. That was my first shock from the book.

And Neville was spectacular. applause I always knew he had it in him. I wish he would've finished Bellatrix off, but that was just too hopeful.

ETA: Oh yes, I loved Aberforth. Him telling off the Death Eaters was classic. As if a goat looks anything like a stag. She had me almost doubting good old Albus, but he proved himself in the end. At least he has a flaw!

Oh I know Aberforth gave me a laugh!

I totally agree about what Molly said! That was classic! I had always assumed it would be Neville who would go against Bella but Molly is just as good! I always knew she must be an amazing witch but we never got to see anything other than household spells.

I had completely forgotten about Dudley with all of the other stuff to think about! I was even wondering what in the world had happened to them but I totally forgot that he

I remember thinking halfway through the book when they were still fumbling around trying to figure out what to do with the locket that there was NO WAY JK was going to be able to fit in everything else!

I was not suprised by R.A.B. being Regulus...the story though! Amazing! OMD!!! KREACHER!!! Leading the House Elves! Yeah...I cried when I read that...well I cried a little harder...bol.

I was not suprised that Albus had ordered Snape to kill him. You know it really doesn't seem fitting to call him DD anymore...We all discovered the true Albus in this book. I was not prepared for that.

I didn't expect her to do that to Albus, but I actually find him more likable. Before, he was too perfect. He needed that human quality to make him a better character.

Kreacher was great. All the house elves were. Poor Dobby (but I'm sure he would be thrilled to die serving Harry Potter). Kreacher cooking was hilarious.

She had all these instances of characters not being exactly what they seemed, and I loved it. No one is ever exactly what you think, and she executed that fact perfectly. Wormtail died exactly like he should, as did Snape.

Oh, another great moment was Potterwatch. River, Royal, and Romulus could not have been better. Laughter proved itself to be the best medicine, for even I found myself laughing throughout the book.

He really was more likeable. I agree. Amazing character...amazing storyline...I still can't believe it.

Oh Dobby...that was so sad. Yeah yeah...I sobbed through that part too. I was a mess...but that all ended when I read the epilogue. It really was for the greater good.

I agree, Wormtail, died as he should have. I didn't see it coming though. Snape too...what a brave man.

I didn't think Nangini was going to be a horcrux...nor did I think Harry would be one. But...the reason was because I did not think she would kill off Harry but I did not realize the tiny (HUGE) little loophole that Tom seemed to have also missed.

I loved Potterwatch too! That was great. I needed that laugh

It is amazing how fast everything came down after the minister died. Poor Hermoine in the courtroom with Umbridge. I still CANNOT believe she stole his eye!

I also could not believe how many times they escaped Riddle...and so closely...

It killed me when I thought for a moment that little Teddy Tonks was going to lose both of his parents AND his godfather. Just like Harry...

I am so glad that it ended as I had hoped. Little Albus Severus going away to his first year at Hogwarts.
