hi, I'm Ginnger, call me Ginngie.
just don't call me late for dinner! As some of you may know, I was under the weather this past week, thanks to your wonderful purrs, I'm back to eating pretty much as normal. That's the weird thing, I've never walked away from food, so when I kept turning my nose up, they knew something wasn't right.
Here's how momma got me:
Momma's sister got me at about 10 weeks old from a co-worker who said I didn't get along with their other cats. My fault? I think not!She could only keep me outside & decided that Momma should take me home. Well, that was 14 years ago & since then I gained two brothers, a daddy & a human brother. Then this past year my brother Sparky went to the bridge. Chip & I didn't really understand where he went just knew that he wasn't well and never came back home...well, as we remembered him anyway.
Just recently we got a new sister, then a couple weeks later another little brother. Apparently he was her littermate & didn't get his furrever home as originally thought, so he came to live with us.
You're so lucky because you ended up in a wonderful home with wonderful pawrents. And concats on your new sister and brother. I hope you don't mind them moving into your home -- at that age they can cause so much ruckus! We older kitties do value peace and quiet and lots of nap time.
I'm so sorry about Sparky and I know how you and Chip and your mom and dad and brother must miss him. I read in Sparky's diary that your mom went to petloss.com. My mom went there too. She started doing the Monday Night Candle Ceremony when she found out that Abby had cancer and then when Abby went to the Bridge, going there and doing the ceremony and talking to others was an enormous comfort. Mom still goes back there occasionally but sometimes finds it difficult to stick around . . .
Hi, everyone! I am Eddie. Many of you may already know me. If not, stop by my page or pawmail me! I live in northern CA. with 3 other cats and two dogs. Some people found me alone on a highway in a storm when I was a few weeks old (and still not weened). Then they gave me to a person at a travel agency an hour or so later. From there my adopted Mom took me to her home. She washed me, she played with me, and she even let me roam free when I got older, even though the other foster kittens were in the bathroom. She made me homes in cardboard and --- I don't think I need to tell my whole life story---so I'll shorten things up. So mom decided to keep me--well why wouldn't she. I met her other cats, Angel and Tank. Angel---I always loved to lick her in the worst places if you can guess those... Tank--He was my "crash test dummy" In other words, I played rough with him, or I still do...Then about a year later Mom's mom moved into the "granny" unit with FIV+ Sophie, who we never see. Now I am 2 years old and I have a Catster boyfriend, Jay. That is all I have to say about my life day to day!
(cool rhyme!)
Hi I'm Maggie!
I am almost 3 months old. I came to my furrever home on June 1st.
A furriend of my momma had been sending her pictures of me & my littermates since the day I was born. My first mom had my mom & dad, plus two other cats. Then along came 4 of us.
I was the last one to be claimed. My new mom & dad fell in love with my from my pictures, but when they first saw me face to face they couldn't believe how pretty I was.
I am so happy to be here in my furrever home. I have my littermate Rudy with me too, but I'll let him tell that part of the story next.
I'm so glad we joined this group, it's been so much fun!
Hi, I'm Rudy!
I'm Maggie's brother & littermate. (Chip & Ginngie are my brothers too)
Anyway, as Maggie said, there were 4 of us in our litter. Everyone was spoken for except for Maggie when all of a sudden, my mom's aunt came & took her away. I didn't really mind really 'cause my new mom & dad were gonna take me when they got their new home, plus I was with my kitty mom & dad. Well, before I knew it, my mom's uncle came to get me & took me to these other people. I didn't understand, 'cause I didn't think these are the people that first wanted me. It turns out that those first people couldn't take me, so Maggie's new mom & dad took me so that Maggie & I could grow up together.
I came to live with them 2 weeks after Maggie and she thought she was all that & would jump on me & attack me. My new mom & dad were concerned, but after only a couple of days we started playing together like littermates should.
I just love my furrever home & love being able to be with Maggie again. Momma says that our other siblings are living together too, so that's really cool!
Hi everycat; my name is Diogi. I admin a couple of groups if any of you are interested; or have any spare time (I'm not Orange but I am Proud, Best Furriend Spot & Nascar Cat) I found my mommy at work, I was a feral kitten born to a feral mom. Mommy rescued me & my littermate Misty. Misty went to live with friends & I had a home that didn't work out, so I came back to mommy & my sister T C & brother Spotty. I didn't even know I was a cat! Spotty went to the Bridge on September 3rd 2006 & that is when I learned I was a cat. Then in April of this year we found out that my sister & I ate some of the recalled food. I survived; she went to the Bridge on April 28th. I am the one (with help from a dear friend) that started the candle memorial for the victims of the recall. I see the link is posted here, & I'd like to thank you for posting it.
Hi, I'm Chip ~
I see you've met my brothers & sister.
I was just a kitten when I was picked up by this little boy & taken to my furrever home where I met my brother Sparky. I guess I'm lucky 'cause my dad has always been my dad. My first mom (my human brother's mom) went to the Bridge when I was just a few years old. Then my daddy married my momma now and I gained another brother Ginngie. We usually get along pretty well, but then last November, my brother Sparky went to the Bridge. Since then it's been me & Ginngie...just kind of avoiding each other. That is until those little gray furballs came along. Maybe eventually I'll give them a break, but until then...I have a right to hiss at them whenever I want.
oh, I also see you've met my bestest furriend, Diogi. He's the best!
Hi everycat; My name is Zippie! I am Diogi's little brother. My mommy was lookin for an orange kitten (T C had her paw in this somewhere) So mommy had a friend who had a friend that had found a feral cat trying to give birth while being chased by her dog Well the kitten she was giving birth to is my brother (& he is fine).
The lady took the mommy cat inside where it was safe & she had 4 more kittens & 1 of them was me.
Mom was worried about Diogi being so much bigger than me & cause maybe he wouldn't like me. But she introduced us right away & he didn't even hiss at me. I like to try & get his tail & sometimes I almost do. Anyway I'm glad to meet all of you.
My name is Nemo. Sometimes I respond to “No!”. I think it’s a nice short for Nemo with just one syllabus.
I interviewed my staffs at Vancouver SPCA about a year and a half ago. Thought they would make nice butler and cook so I hired them. My past still remains a mystery. Later they found out that I had this illness called FIV. But after a year of supplements and vet/homeopath visits, I was tested FIV negative earlier this year! My four fangs were pulled last May because they were chipped and cracked from fighting on the streets. That’s how I earned my title Sir San Fangsisco.
I have the biggest cheeks on the block. They say it’s because I got “snipped” late. I get a lot of pinching from humans because of them.
Last but not least, I’d do ANYTHING for food and I’d eat anything that doesn’t eat me first. I’ve trained my staffs to give me treats when I sit, lie down, jump up, jump off, walk through cat tunnels…etc. It’s easy, you should try it! Humans are very trainable.
