I've been thinking really hard about stuff for our group to do. I love the contests that we've had. But I want our group to do stuff to make other kitties happy too.

When I saw Manna ask for a few treats, and the response he received (even from me, cause he's just so handsome wink ) I thought what a wonderful idea! There are a lot of kitties on this site who are very, very popular. They receive rosettes all the time, lots of pawmail and lots of treats. I'm so very happy for those kitties! They do so much and they really deserve it. But there are other kitties out there who maybe don't have as many furriends, are shy, new or any other reason that you can think of.

What would you kitties think of as a group, finding kitties to let them know how special they are? We could nominate kitties that could use a bit of attention. We could load them up on treats, send them a few pawmails and maybe even hand out a rosette or two from time to time.

I know that there are a lot of kitties out there who really feel special when they get paid attention to. And it might make them go out and pay attention to another kitty cheer

What do you kitties think? Could we do this? Do you have any suggestions? Please respond! way to go

I often see kitties who have nothing on their page, not even treats, so we treat them when we see that.

Even sending a furriend invite if you don't have rosettes to give.

Does it have to be just orange kitties?

Ginnger, absolutely not just orange kitties! While I'm sure there are lots of orangies out there who need some attention, we don't just want to focus on them! We want every on Catster to have a chance to get some attention! kitty Catster is such a remarkable community, and this group in particular is an even more refined group of extraordinary felines. We need to show everycat what's it like to be thought of.

My siblings and I have done something like this for awhile with our catster furriends. (not recently since Mama's been so tired.) Every night we choose one kitty that we want to send a pawmail to. Then we send them a pawmail, give them a treat, sometimes give them a rosette. Kitties seem to like being noticed. Think of what us kitties can do when there are so many of us! cheercheer

So now the question is, how do we do this? Everykitty can absolutely do it on their own if they want. But should we nominate kitties to get attention? And how many kitties do we do a day? I was thinking that maybe we should focus on 2-4 kitties a day. Is that ok with everycat? Or is it too many or too few?

I remember thinking the same thing about finding kitties. I thought it when i was looking for kitties to tag. 2 - 4 kitties sounds good, but sometimes our paw-rents are busy and may not have time to get to all 4 kitties in a day, so maybe 2 kitties. Or maybe 3? I can't decide either. Great idea, Amber!

So, now that we know that you are all willing to help out, we have an announcement...

Friday has volunteered to the be leader in this project! Amber has had a lot on her plate since my mama been working so much and Jules mama too, so we were thinking about getting some help. And Friday stepped up to the plate and said he would love to do this! Amber is going to assist Friday and I might help here and there but Friday is your main kitty! Any kitties that want to help with this project are absolutely welcomed!! You can just pawmail Friday or pawmail Amber, or you can post here that you want to help! Once we get enuf kitties we will start doing our good kitty deeds!

This is s0 catciting fur us and we look forward to the warm fuzzies we are gonna get fur making so many kitties feel loved.

YES WE AREcheercheercheer I think this is a wonderful idea. I like to do the catwalk through the forums. Find out alot of what's going on. Some kitties hardly have any furriends, never mind treats or rosettes! I have made quite a few furriends just by catwalking.

this is going to be so pawsome. There are alot of areas in community services; visit the sick, say hello to lonely kitties, help some kitty if they don't understand how to make a link, or if they don't have a plus subscription, tell them how they can decorate there page real nice. There are lots of different ways to help make kitties feel at home and very welcome here at Catster. There are furriends I have made or kitties I have encountered that don't seem to stick around and visit very often, maybe they are shy or don't understand how things work. Let's all pitch in and give every kitty a great helping hand!

Yes, great idea....just tell me what you need me to do. I found lots of kitties when we did the scavenger hunt who needed a treat, and I gave them treats. I don't have rosettes to give yet (gave 'em all away and need to upgrade to get more)...but I will give treats and cheers. Count me in on whatever you decide.
