i have to tell you guys what happened last night.

i went with mom to her friend's house to help decorate for christmas. (turtle doesn't like to travel, so he never comes.) we walked up onto the porch, minding our own business...and suddenly a vishus skeletal deer in the bush started blinking and singing to me! it was dark and not moving until we got near it.

so my question is, is this deer more vishus than the regular skeletal deer? i mean, it obviously knew i was there and was trying to lure me in with its siren-like music.

Pippin, this mite be sumthing Dutchess needs to reeserch.... this sownds reely terryfying. However, maybe it's just a stoopid vishus deer, becuz a smart vishus deer wood lie in wate and then skewer yoo with his horns withowt warning.

WOW Pippin!
I have not heard of *these* vishus deer or know where I may study them.
SKEEZIX has a VERY valid point though- a smart Vishus deer WOULDN'T sing to you regardless of it's Siren-like song. Afterall, it didn't lure you to it right???
If the vishus deer was in skeletal form as you say, it COULD be another deterrent type of action for the live vishus deer. Perhaps music or song disrupts their ability to communicate with one another?
I wish I could find one of these things... I will study it up and down if I find one, but without knowhing where to even look, I am afraid to go outside wandering.
The vishus deer in my neighborhood, and in MANY places as Viloet pointed out, are out to get me.
Apparently, the work we are all doing together seem to be breaking down their secrets and making it harder fro them to catch us kitties!
YEAAAAAAAAAAA

well, as my brother turtle is young and juicy like they like, and he DOES own a pair of skewering tools...maybe i can send him out to do research in the field! after all, gordy's not skewered yet, right? tomorrow, he shall go observe!

edit: mom talked to her friend and told us that this vishus deer moves every few minutes, and it wasn't just because we walked up. the singing was coming from a DIFFERENT animal next to the deer (a bear, apparently) who DOES sing when beans and cats walk up. sorry to cause such an alarm, i'm just paranoid because this is the only time of year i've ever seen ANY kind of vishus deer, so i'm extra-careful.

Wow, I am so glad I found this thread. As you know, I am the yard patrol cat in my family. We often have 4 or 5 vishus deed in our yard. One has huge antlers, and until now, I did not know how to control them. I do not fear for myself as I am older, but my baby brother, Lewis -well, they'd love to skewer him. Recently my food lady put two small white wooden deer in our front yard. Do you think they are meant to be decoys?

Maxwell -- Dutchess's reesint reeserch has shone promissing evidinse that fake vishus deers seem to akt as effektiv deer repelunts. Reezults are not konkloosiv, tho, so be pleeze reemane vijilunt!

Last night I talked mom into taking me for a night stroll in my new bright green (brighter than Catster) stroller and I saw some of these moving skeletons in my neighbor's yard! I was really scared, because I am young and juicy, but then I rememberd that these are repellants. Whew!

I might need to order some of Mao and Rocky's Vishus Deer Repellant! Do you guys have any ready for shipping?
