However British Shorthairs are very clever and will know what can or cannot take their weight.
I've even had 10 cats at one time and the only damage they ever did to the tree was chewing on a garland hanging frm the lower branches.
I think a British Shorthair cat will be too dignified to try and climb the tree, and besides that, they are the most sensible and calm cat breed so you should let your cat come sniff the tree and observe you decorating it and that'll be the end of your worries. |  |  |  |  |
