I have a question, my little girl Lexi is a Abby/Maine Coon mix, and she is a 'plain' brown tabby. However, her fur seems to be very unique from what I have seen of other tabbys and I was wondering if any of the Abby lovers here had an answer to if its her Abby genes. Her fur is HEAVILY ticked, or agouti, in between her solid black stripes. Also her undercoat is an entirely different color from her outer coat. Her guard hairs are striped black/grey/black and her undercoat is a tawny color. It makes her shimmer in the light and is beautiful. I have never seen another tabby like her. Here are some pictures, and the tawny color around her mouth (I provided a close up on her face) is the same color as her undercoat. 76a2a.jpg _zpscd0e0bfb.jpg
