To bake a whole cake was always too much. Mom can't eat a whole cake by herself before it would get stale. So after Thanksgiving, Mom used half of a box cake and it came out good. So she's going to use the rest of the box cake. Maybe tomorrow.

The instructions on the box said 3 eggs. So Mom just used one egg for half the receipe and it worked out fine.

Mom is figuring out that receipes for one aren't so hard to make.

Are all your Christmas decorations down? We keep ours up for one more week. December 7th is Croatian Christmas.

Mom and dad didn't put any decorations up. Mom wanted to put a string of lights on the porch but she never did. Maybe next year. shrug

Oh, mom didn't know that about about Croatian Christmas.

We don't actually celebrate it although we know a few families here that do, but we always did leave our Christmas decorations up past the 7th of January. Momsmomsmom said it was bad luck to take them down earlier. We think it's strange that some people take down their decorations on Christmas day. thinking
