|Well my friend doesn't have plus so i will post this for him his name is albert i will out up his link in a minute. Here is wat he has to say:
This is a story about Albert II (aka: Albie -- that's me) and his predecessor, Prince Albert I.
When my beloved Albert went to the Rainbow Bridge, my Mommy and Daddy were devastated and bereft. They burned a candle on my predecessor's grave (Albert) for 17 days.....one day for each of his 17 years on earth.
On the 17th day, Daddy had to work (it was a Sunday and he only worked one Sunday a month). One of his patients came and told him that there was a tiny yellow and white kitty sitting on the steps of Mommy's office building and thinking something might happen to him, Daddy immediately ran over to get him and brought him home to Mommy at lunchtime. I was a yellow and white kitty just like Albert, and I was so tiny that I fit in the palm of my Daddy's hand. I was young enough to still have my baby blue eyes, and I was not yet weaned from my Mommy's milk.
My pawrents had a housecall vet at the time, and called her to come over to the house first thing Monday morning. The vet said I was approximately 3-4 weeks old, (Mommy likes to think I was EXACTLY 17 days old and that I was the reincarnation of Albert) was severely dehydrated (she gave me IV fluids) and told Mommy to buy kitty milk for me and feed me from a baby bottle.
We were going to Virginia for the next week, so Mommy thought she could buy milk and a bottle there, but alas, there were no stores nearby (pet shops). Mommy and Daddy drove 60 miles one way to get the bottle and the milk --- which I refused to drink. Mommy waas on the phone to the vet long distance every day. Finally one day, I started licking baby food off Mommy's finger. She was sooooo happy and knew then that I was going to survive. She carried me around in her blouse to keep me warm like my cat Mommy would have done (with her fur).
I am now in a photo contest on http://www.InsideLongmont.com and up 'til very recently, I was way ahead in the polls, but in the last day, another kitty has really passed me by. I would love to win this contest for my Rainbow Bridge brother and namesake, Albert, and for my Mommy, who wanted nothing for Christmas but to see my photo on the http://www.InsideLongmont.com home page for the entire month of January.
If you would like to vote for me, please go to the site and click on CONTESTS AND DRAWINGS (on the left on the homepage). Another page will come up. Go down to where it says VOTE NOW and click that. Then the photo page will come up. Scroll down to the photo of a beautiful and bodacious yellow/orange and white kitty regally sitting on a blue sofa and click VOTE FOR ME. It would mean so very much to my pawrents.
Thanks for your support!!!!!
Love and kitty kisses from Albie
