 |  |  |  | I rescued a senior cat from a woman who decided that it wasn't "convenient" to keep her anymore. I already have two cats but thought it would work out. Unfortunately, it didn't. After running out of options this is what I did:Email to my BF's daughter;
Dear Shannon: I am begging you. Please can you adopt Checkers? This situation is not getting any better here. She's afraid of the boys. I thought Rudy would be the problem but it's Bumpy. She's been in my closet for over a week now. I have food and water and litter box in the bedroom and close it off when I'm gone to work. I hope she gets out of the closet while I'm gone, but I don't know. But the minute I get home, the boys go in and dirty up her box, don't use theirs, poke their heads in and scare her....etc. I feel so bad for her.
I will fly her up, I will help with food, I will help with any vet bills that you might incur (within reason of course). She is very healthy even though she's "mature." Can't ditch us "matures" can ya?
I know I got myself into this situation. Shannon, she is such a sweet cat. She talks to you, purrs real loud and is so beautiful and very affectionate. She wouldn't have a problem with Millie because she could jump up somewhere to get her own space. That doesn't work here.
Please Shannon, think about it. I can't find anything here and I'll be damned if I'll take her to the pound. The no kill shelters are full.
Thanks a lot. Hope to see you soon.
Love, Jinx
This is the response I got. I bawled like a baby with gratefulness.
"Why don't you drive up here with my mom and Checkers next weekend... And we'll fly just you home?"
So, Checkers has a great home now. God bless all who love animals. This is Shannon... | | | | |
