	Poor Pierre has been at the Cats R Us shelter in Maryland for almost 2 years He is absolutely gorgeous and very sweet. Unfortunately no one wants to deal with giving him insulin shots since he has diabetes but perhaps a change in diet could help to cut down on the insulin or help him wean off of it all together (I believe he is on Authority wet and dry food). I would love to take him but have 2 cats already and my husband has put his foot down. 	He is gorgeous. That's so sad, it always breaks my heart to hear about these kitties . Diabetes is a manageable condition, and you're right Neva, low carb wet diets can help diabetic kitties a lot -- many end up even going into remission with insulin and proper diet. I have a diabetic boy and it doesn't take that much to inject insulin and test BG levels daily. And with a diabetic kitty you develop a closeness with the daily care. FelineDiabetes.com is a great site with a super helpful message board if anyone is interested. There are a lot of resources available. I hope someone will give this beautiful boy a home and the care he needs. Thanks for posting this, Neva.

	Cats R Us in Maryland let me know that they have an 11-year old sweetheart named Joy who is very sad since her human died. She was the center of her world. They are looking for a home for Joy where she will be the center of a calm and loving world.
