here is a small videos all of my babies, all 5 of them, eating raw. even Lucky, my oldest one, who i thought i will have the toughest time moving to raw, started eating it after a bit of mixing raw with a can of wet food. she is now happily eating and defending her raw piece.
also i am very much enjoying having a fresh smelling litter box!! and Lucky who is slowly losing all the excess pounds.

i feel like such a proud mama. smile

also i wanted to ask, does anybody know where i can find actual studies on the benefits of raw as oppose to kibble. I am trying to convince a forum troll (not this website) that raw is good and not unhealthy and dangerous.

Information on the harm kibble causes can be found on CatInfo.org, Feline-Nutrition.org and (by searching) LittleBigCat.com, as well as the kibble page of CatCentric.org.

The benefits associated with feeding a species-appropriate raw diet can be found primarily on Feline-Nutrition.org and CatCentric.org; here's a specific article for you: http://catcentric.org/raw-feeding/raw-feeding-your-house-cat-whats-a ll-the-fuss-about.

Best regards.

Congratulations on your now raw crew!applause

Definately read all the articles/sites that AC recommended. You will not, however, find any scientific studies showing the benefits of raw versus kibble or canned food. The closest that you will come to that is the Pottenger cat study which was conducted in the 1930's and 40's. This is a quick summary http://www.for-petes-sake.com/Pottenger.pdf. Here is a bit more detailed info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_M._Pottenger,_Jr.#Pottenger.27s _cats

Well, I really hope that you do find some and please post them if you do, but consider the following about reseach. Someone has to want to do it and, almost more importantly, someone has to pay for it. I wish I was wrong, but I believe that the only groups willing to pay for research on pet nutrition are pet food companies and I highly doubt that they have any interest in researching prey model diets since they don't sell them.
