I live in Massachusetts and feed six cats three meals a day - I simply take the food out each morning that I intend to feed the next day. That's more than enough time for the foods to defrost in the fridge.

I feed 4 cats three meals a day. I try to remember to thaw meat out a day ahead of time, but I don't always remember. I sometimes thaw meat on the counter if I have a few hours, but a bowl of very warm water will always do the job even though that drives the cats crazy as they know their food is out.laugh out loud

Y'all are all fantastic. Love you, you brilliant loving - cat lovers!!! And huge kudos to the multiple cat people. You are wonderful for doing it for all the cats.

As for the thawing, if it takes overnight that is not a problem. And warm water is good. Just NEVER use a microwave. When I commented about leaving it out, some folks leave it out for days and that's where the trouble - grows. Some will make a batch and either just leave a month in the frig or a week on the counter. Ick.

Don't stress it. You all know innately what is good and what is bad food because you are here ergo you are brilliant!
