|I'm not familiar with the brand of raw you're using, but it seems like it's agreeing with your kitties, so that's great!
Olivia & Tanner have been on prey model raw (80% muscle meat, 10% edible bone, 5% liver, and 5% either kidney or spleen) for going on three years. Finn, my one and a half year old, has been on this same diet since I got him at about four months old. They are all doing beautifully on it. Neither Olivia nor Tanner were overweight or unhealthy on the premium canned food they'd been eating prior to this, but I was unnerved by the constant recalls, mergers, and other issues with commercial foods. They still do get a small treat of canned food every now and again, more so as a treat than anything else, but they are raw kitties now, and I'm very pleased with the way they're doing on it. Their coats are gleaming, incredibly soft, there is no odor in the litterbox at all, their teeth are shiny and white. Olivia recently had her seven year checkup and we had a new tech helping us out. And she said "so she's seven months old now ..." I was like, "No, seven YEARS." She couldn't believe it.
In Finn's case, I really think raw saved his life. He had a whole host of things going on with him when I got him (he was a feral kitten and was basically a walking skeleton when I found him) - and I don't know that he'll ever really be 100% but after eight months of almost weekly vet visits for some ailment or the other, he's now doing amazing, and he loves the raw diet, which he basically weaned himself to all on his own, as I was feeding him canned and raw together intially and he just started leaving the canned and eating the raw.
