The bottom line is that whenever you adopt OR foster, you need to be approved by the shelter/rescue you are dealing with. They have to screen your lifestyle, the other animals you have in the home and also the 2 foots who live in your house. They need to counsel you on how to introduce the animal to your household.

I have to agree with everyone else. Now is not the time for you to assume responsibility for any sort of dog, especially as you mentioned, one of the very predatory breeds such as a Rottwiler, etc.

We call is as we see it on this page.

Yes Izzie, I know all that, and I will go through everything. I see what you all are saying. I've actually been doing some thinking, and I think a papillon or pomeranian would be a better choice for me as a first time dog mom. big grin

Good for you; we just want you (and Jellybean of course) to avoid as much stress as possible when the new fur-friend gets there. We don't want bad things happening for any animals or people involved! If you do it right, and take your time, Jellybean could surprise you and love it too eventually. There are lots of threads on introducing new animals here, do read some. (In case you think I just don't understand, BooBoo had to stay in a little room by herself for almost a month, and could only come out when I was RIGHT THERE with her and Rocky for several more. Buit they eventually got along well enough.
