|Re: Lydia... we have drasticaly changed her diet- all cats are on sensitive stomache/senior prescription food- the only table scraps she gets is what we catch her running away with- which is usually a quick swipe of cream cheese from our bagel... she does try to eat the dog food, but we monitor that as well to keep her from getting to it. We have spent hundred of dollars on tests to figure out why she is getting so big, but nothing has been determined.
We are doing everything we can to keep her from getting bigger...Her weight is not a result of us not properly caring for her nor is it for our cruel amusement.
We are worried that her legs are going to suffer from the additional weight she carries, and yes, her activity level has really slowed.
She is a 23 lb 10 yr old runt black cat, a furry frozen turkey... but she has feelings and assumptions made abouther care hurts them.
