|ATLANTA -- There is a significant development today in an animal cruelty case that stunned a North Fulton County community.
Earlier today, a judge sentenced Lauri Lockwood to serve 15 years probation. Authorities discovered about 160 dead and sick cats in her home last year.
Today, Assistant District Attorney Laura Janssen described in depth the horrific scene inside Lockwood’s house.
“What they found in the home of Lauri Lockwood, on every single floor and every single level on the floor and on the furniture – excessive amounts of feces, urine and literally dead cats,” said Janssen.
Lockwood told the judge she was guilty and was sorry for what happened.
