Our nine year old cat, Trouble, lost her "sister" a few weeks ago due to cancer. It took Trouble a few days to figure out that her sister wasn't coming back from the vet's office, but once she did she started being vocal, and not wanting to eat much.

Trouble has always eaten canned food and although she's still a good weight, she isn't eating very much anymore. We tried sprinkling tuna flakes on her food. She licked off the tuna flakes and left the food. This morning my husband gave her some human tuna, and she ate that. I know that's not balanced for her. How does one go about making a balanced home cooked meal for a cat?

You should try baby food but look at the ingredients it can't say anything with onion, galric & thangs that cats can't eat. For cooking you'll need to add taurine becouse the heat of cooking removes the taruine from whatever it is that your cooking. Here ar some web-sites with recpies if you need them.
