I comb him, somtiems brush, also take a damp cloth and wipe him down.

Kie says he enjoys those methods, it keeps his coat shiney and healthy!

Also are certain food better for his skin/ coat health?

Well speaking from personal experience try and feed him the best holistic/organic catfood possible. Read the labels and avoid those that contain corn, corn by-products, meat by-products, artificial ingredients & dyes, soy and soy products. Two which I have used with great success are Innova and Newman's Own Organics (dry, which is great for their teeth) and the occasional tin as a treat. My Seamus' coat is beautiful, he's healthy and his teeth are snow white. Try not to feed your cat dairy products - they're really not good for his digestive tract.
