GO!

Purrs For Henry....

This is a special place for cats to share their love and support for each other during difficult times; it's a place to light candles, give a "get well purr" and let everyfur know they are never ever alone.

Matilda and I are purring so hard for Henry. Maybe the infection that caused the abscess made him feel bad, but once it came out, he felt better. We're hoping there will be some medicine that will clear it up and he can feel like himself again.

Bruce, you be brave for Henry and tell him to feel better.

Purrs,

Thanks once again for the continued purrs for Henry.

Mum could not get Henry an emergency vet appointment yesterday (Sunday) without having to travel too far in the car which she knew Henry wouldnt enjoy, she had to weigh up what to do for the best, leave Henry another day or make him travel further in the car, she opted to leave him for another day.

So, Mum has just returned from taking him to the vets. His face is very swollen and earlier today his little eye was closed too cry, however it is just an abcess and nothing more serious, but the vet said the area around his tooth is very infected and was weeping....poor Henry. The vet has given Mum some antibiotic drops to give to Henry twice a day for the next ten days, so we are hoping within the next 24-48 hours he may start to feel a little better.

The vet also recommended sedating Henry, and x-raying his mouth/teeth area and possibly removing the teeth. Mum said this was out of the question, firstly she doesnt believe Henry would make it through an anaesthetic, and this late in his life she does not want to put him through this procedure.

We will keep you posted on Henry's progress.

Thanks again, and hugs to all hug

Hi All

Your purrs surely are working.

Henry is a lot better today and the swelling on his face has gone right down big grin

He isnt happy about having to take his antibiotics as well as his epilepsy meds but Mum has told him it is only for a few days and he will soon feel better.

He has eaten some more today and certainly has a bit more life in him.

I'll keep you posted on his progress.

hug
