|Lexi is very precious to me and I may be losing her. I refuse to give up hope, but she could use all the help available. She is a rescue kitty
whose mother passed along the calcivirus to her - so she has always had challenges in her young life. We've tackled them head on and done
great - but this time it is in God's hands.
Lexi is in the emergency vet now fighting hard to live. She is anemic and her little body is not producing enough red blood cells or platelets. We have given her two blood transfusions but the fear is she has a bleeding ulcer that won't clot or has autoimmune definciency. She is scheduled for another test in 2 hours - one that is critical to determining if this is a fight we can even think about winning. We need her red blood cell count to come up and sustain itself. She has worked hard as when I rushed
her to the emergency room yesterday (from staying the night at her obviously incompetent
vets office) her blood pressure was only 15 (barely alive) - normal is 120. She fought back bravely and as late as 11pm last night her bp was 100. She is trying but she is only 6.4lbs and needs prayers and positive thoughts.
If you can find it your heart to help a stranger, please say a prayer for this sweet, sweet girl who is so young.
