"By products" may include pork in some form as well. Pork is a digestible protein for pets and while there may be a small proportion of pets with allergies to pork, it is not one of the most common ones. The reason pork isn't used as much as some of the other proteins is simple. It's that the ingredient isn't as available as some of the other animal proteins. Brownie I'm the Alpha- cat!     Purred: Fri Jan 18, '13 8:56pm PST  Today, I stopped at another pet food store, not the big box stores. There on the shelf was the Precise flaked pork canned cat food. I grabbed a can and the chicken one too. Even if it is flaked, we will try it. I have my KitchenAid stick blender ready to puree it. I do have to say it was cheaper than the current prices of Nature's Variety. That clay thing does not make me want to give it to my cats. But I may pick up a can when I can find it too.
