My prema is going on 21 and I am looking to find a moist food for her. Not canned, or pouched with gravy. Something along the lines of the old Tender Vittles. Prema only has three or four teeth. I need something with a little more substance than canned but not dry hard stuff. Any Suggestions any one I would really appreciate it.

The problem with semimoist foods like the ones you are describing is that they contain a lot of unnatural, potentially dangerous preservatives and other unsafe ingredients. Is there a particular reason you cannot or are unwilling to feed canned food?

Prema does get canned food, but she would like some variety. We have always fed her some canned and she has access to dry as she wants it. Now she doesn't do so well with the dry. sometimes when she eats it if she doesn't chew it up well enough (very hard for her to do) she will throw it up. I am just looking for something she can eat besides only canned. She just likes to be able to munch on something.

I would recommend Freshpet Select or Freshpet Vital if you can find it in your area. It's grain free with a few vegetables. It's cooked and needs to be kept in the fridge and the bag used within 1 week of opening. I have two geriatric kitties with IBD, pancreatitis, kidney disease, etc., and they love and do well on this food. Good luck.
