Before grain dry, waste of money?

I was looking at the analysis for before grain dry. It's 36 percent. exact same as a regular grain inclusive food. is it really worth it if the protein level is exactly the same?

honestly most of these grain free dry foods use potatoes instead of corn, which is not a whole lot better in terms of digestibility for cats. It's better to get a non-grain free that uses rice (brown rice is better) than getting a grain free that uses potato (sweet potato is better at least). Rice is the most digestible in comparison to corn or potatoes. I think alot of people see "grain free" and they don't think about how cats don't eat potatoes.

EVO is the only grain-free dry food I would recomend. But there's still a lot of stuff in there that cats wouldn't naturally eat. It's impossible to manufacture a dry food without carbs. Healthy or not, carbs are what hold the kibble together.

I think that it all depends on your cat. Two of mine have issues with any food that has grains in it. Even if the grain is rice. BUT they have trouble also on the higher protein that most grain free foods have. Its weird but they get the runs so bad they cant even make it to their box. I have never tried BG before but I feed NOW! to these two cats its grain free but has lower protein 3o something percent anyways. They can eat this and finally down any can food I give them. When they were eating GO! grain free with the higher protein they couldnt even eat can food they could eat nothing. So it all depends on your cat.

I'm not a huge fan of the Before Grain line of foods... they are mostly chicken and I prefer to stay away from foods mostly made of chicken.

For grain free I like Orijen or Acana or Natures Variety Instinct.
