I think it does make a good sauce for wet food, also for dry food.
When my two kittens Cupcake & Pancake were younger I used to add Kitten Milk to their Raw Bones and meat. My other cats love milk also,I give it to them as a treat often.
Lol! I name my cats when I'm hungry. Good Idea about making the liver and hearts when you have to go somewhere. I hate the taste and smell of liver myself so I hate making it for my cats (I did once) , I don't mind feeding it raw. I think you're a very good mother to your kitties because I know many vegetarians won't feed meat to their cats because they think it looks gross or it smells bad ect... but you do it for your kitties health which is something really hard to do unless you really, really love your kitties.
ETA: The bad thing is the liver smells while cooking, not after
All this talking with you is making me crave Oreos like crazy!

Thank you for such a nice compliment. All the info you (and others) give really does help and encourage me, and I really appreciate it.
I nearly passed out cutting up all those chicken hearts and livers. I was literally talking to myself the entire time to try to get myself through it.

That's good to know. The kitty milk was a thumbs down. I'm going to try some pork and chicken liver this evening with their wet.
Regarding kitty milk: I've seen goat milk sold at cat shows. My cats aren't into kitty milk, so I figured they wouldn't like the goat milk either, but I bought some just the same to taste it (it was in one of those square packages that Japanese milk comes in). YUCK!!! Maybe I'll try it again sometime with my kitties, but I don't recommend it for humans. (And yet I like goat cheese...)
This is off-topic, but since you brought up hearts and livers: they often sell chicken FEET in Japanese supermarkets. They make a great chicken broth, but I wonder if they would be suitable for kitty consumption? They're really cheap, and don't smell bad--just look really, really gross when seen en masse.
Tonight I bought Oreo Cookies and raw chicken thigh. The woman at the register must have thought I was headed home for my strange supper.
Yeah, big paws down on the cat milk, which was a surprise since everyone got sort of excited while I was making it. It must have been the rustling of the bag, sounding like kibbles or something LOL.
I also made boiled pork and chicken livers tonight and gave it out as an afternoon snack. As soon as the plates hit the floor, everyone went for a plate.....and then stopped in horror. After they looked a while and started to walk away, I decided to dust them with kibble. As soon as I did that, I got three more looks of horror, and one Mooch happily chomping away.
Mooch liked it so much, he finished his portion, Cham's portion, and part of Yoyo's!
But nobody else would come near it, so I picked out the leftover kibble and put the boiled meats in saran wrap and put it in the fridge for tomorrow.
Goats milk. Hmm. I wonder if they would try that. I've heard chicken feet are really good for chewing and you get a lot of tooth-brushing benefits. Harvey, have you tried giving any to your crew?
Chicken feet...that reminds me of eating dim sum in Hong Kong, where highly-spiced chicken feet (called something like "Phoenix Claws") are a popular dish...
It also reminds me of the time I tried to make chicken soup stock with frozen chicken feet. I didn't realize that, when boiled, the modest little mound of chicken feet would bloat up to twice their original size, totally filling the pot, and peeking over the edge of me with their little toes and toenails! Bet that makes your vegetarian stomach go ka-thomp! Even I was grossed out. (The soup was good, though.)
Anyway, I digress. No, I haven't tried chicken feet with my brood, because I was sort of afraid that the little bones might be dangerous. Are they considered safe as raw food for cats?
As for chicken feet in a raw diet...actually, I only saw that someone gave them to her cats to chew on some, not really to eat. More like a flavorful chew toy that they would work on for a while (and thus the tooth-brushing effect) and then leave when they'd had enough. I guess you'd want to clip the chicken's toenails.
