What Shall Foster Mom Name Us?

If you are wondering what is the right cat for you, this is the place to be. In this introductory forum we talk about topics such as breed vs. mix, size, age, grooming, breeders, shelters, rescues as well as requirements for exercise, space and care. No question is too silly here. This particular forum is for getting and giving helpful, nice advice. It is definitely not a forum for criticizing someone else's opinion, knowledge or advice. This forum is all about purring and learning.

I don't know if they will learn the names or not. When I got Spice, that was the name they had given her at the shelter and I kept it...I don't think she 'knew' it at first, but she learned it fast. Phoebe, on the other hand, had been temporarily named Matilda and did not know that name. She knows Phoebe now.
I think that Marshal (from the first foster litter) kind of knew his name...I also called him Marshy sometimes. Miss Kitty's name was changed to Sophie by my in-laws and they insisted she knew her new name within a day (I think they are imagining things!)
I am already calling the Mom "Bailey" now and I think it is a nice enough name that whoever adopts her might keep it. She seems very bright and I suspect will respond to Bailey quickly.
I am using "George" and "Harry" now everytime I am with the boys, too. George seems slightly ahead of where my last four were at his age...he will probably catch on fast to the name. Harry is right about on par with where the last litter was at his age.
I will make packets up for them, so maybe their adopters will like the name/story enough to keep them the same.

First, God Bless You for taking in kitties and their moms and finding them wonderful, furevery homes. We love the names you have given the kittens.

My brother Louis and I were left at an animal hospital when we were two weeks old and hand raised by a tech there. We adopted our meowmy in May, 2006. She had lost four cats in Hurricane Katrina, and said we have healed the hole in her heart.cheercheer

Keep us posted on Harry and George and their momcat adopting people.

Coincidentally, I was very close to going with Diana, William, and Harry. My neighbor's son voted for that. But, there is just something about the Mom that did not fit with 'Diana.' But, it was that suggestion that reminded me of that OTHER Harry and his big brother, George Bailey.

What about Bently? That little tiger/tabby kitten that is looking up in the picture looks like a Bently, the name just came to me when I seen him big grin
