Is there anyway to avoid the six months quarentine from the U.S. to Ireland? I just hate to think of all my Kitty Brothers and my Kitty girlfriend Opal, having to stay away from Mommy & Daddy for six months!

From the info I have read, it appears that is true, however, you should call the department of Agriculture in Ireland to get current info. Good Luck on your move!

Hunter's right, it's best to call and make sure that the information you have is the most up-to-date. The number for Ireland's Department of Agriculture and Food is 353-1-607-2862.

I looked around online and found some good sites about it:
Ireland Department of Agriculture and Food: EU Pet Passport
Oasis.gov : Bringing Pets to Ireland
IrishAnimals.ie : Ireland's Quarantine Laws
Movetoireland.com : Animal Health and Welfare

Good luck! smile
