This forum is for cat lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your cat.

Hope Drake is ok now. He reminds me of my big cat Cal. Cal sheds like no other cat alive. I brush him every day but he still had fierce problems with hairballs. He is also the most picky cat alive so he wouldn't go near the vets solution: "Tonic-lax" which my other cat loves. So I tried "Whiskers Temptation" cat treats with the hairball remedy label (dark blue package), Only 2 bucks Canadian at Walmart. Cal loves them and hasn't had any furball upchucks since. I think drinking adequate water is essential for any cat on a dry food diet.
