While they are so small I think its safer that Tink and the kittens are in a room away from your other cats. Normally mother cats will naturally want to keep them hidden away. I suppose its good she feels safe in your house but they'll be safer away from all the cats/people at least while you are not able to supervise 100%.

Thanks everyone :]
Everything has been so helpful.

Tink is doing amazing, she has found what seems to be a final nest, and that is in the corner of our bed! We have a large round shaped bed and in the corner is a spot fir some extra blankets and she moved them there. Often find little babies crawling next to me since she takes them over my little roadblock and lays them either on my stomach or next to me lol.

They are getting so big and plump! And just opened their eyes yesterday. I'll try and find my digi cam and take some new pictures.

Those kittens are adorable. Sounds like momcat is doing fine smile

OT: Those spay prices are absolutely crazy. Amber's spay was like 90 dollars, including taxes.

Try calling your local animal shelter, and see if they can recommend a low cost spay and neuter clinic or some coupons for cheaper spay and neuter--I don't know where you are, but those prices are way out of line; even if you had to drive 30 minutes to another town, it might be worth it.

The $250 is for a "full service" spay that will include blood tests, vet exams and pain meds etc. Check out low cost spay options in your areas the local SPCA or other rescue places can probably help you. The low cost spay's in this area are $20-50 and cover the basic spay operation and a quick once over to make sure the kittens are not too sick for the operation. As long as Tink and the kittens seem healthy there's not much risk and it will save you a lot of money. The same places usually also have low cost vaccine clinics that you can use to get the kittens their shots.

Congrats on the kittens!!They are adorable and there is little you can do to help Tink, mama cats instictvely know what to do.If you don't the kittens aren't whining-crying then they are OK!
Spaying-neutering costs are lower here in Greece, only 50 euros for males and 80-100 euros for females, and this price covers everything the follow up visits, e-collars and any emergency that may occur.
I once spayed a mama cat and because my vet was not in town for a long time (his wife had their baby prematurely!) I went to another vet..This guy did the spay even though he knew that the cat had her babies (5 kittens) only 6 weeks before that. Her tits sweelled the very first day and we dealt with mastitis for the next 10 days. She had injections daily and she went through a lot of pain.
Please do not take her in for the spay until the kittens are fully weaned and the milk has stopped. If you have to give her meds to stop milking but advise your vet first on that.

Kittens are so adorable - enjoy them!
For help with spaying/neutering Tink and her children, please check out http://www.littlebuddies.org/spayneuter.htm, which lists many organizations in the MD/VA/DC area - if that's where you are. Otherwise, please visit www.spayusa.org; that's a *national* referral service which will help you find low-cost spay/neuter services. Now that you have several to be done - you'll need the help!

You must live in an upscale area; I live in a rural area and have never, ever heard of the prices quoted to you! A spay with shots has run me a bit over $100; neutering, of course, is less.

Best of luck to you.

Actually, the prices you have quoted are typical here in Japan, where everything costs twice as much in the States. But I've learned from Caster tht that there are much cheaper spay options out there. Contact your local shelter or SPCA, and you will find cheaper otptions for spaying.
