When Sasssy had her kittens they were initially running around in a neighbourhood garage, but once we took them in we put the bed/food/litterbox/hidy box etc in a baby's play pen which kept the kittens safe and contained but allowed Sassy to jump in and out. When the kittens reached about 6 weeks old they could also climb out but it worked til then and allowed Sassy to get some peace when she needed it. By the way Tink's kittens are gorgeous.

I have one question.. I'm sorry if you guys think I'm being rude, but why was this cat not spayed? She was 10 months old, she could of long been spayed by now. Even if she is kept in door she should of been spayed.

Congrats on your new kittens!!!

My cat is giving birth as we speak, and she is only 6 months old. I was told that I should have the kittens aborted because she and the kittens might not make it. So far so good though. Just be optimistic and your momma cat will know what to do!

Good luck!!
way to go

Tink

I'm a little- stink!

I called around for places to get them spayed and the earliest we could find was mid july, and thats this month so yeah.. And the places that were open wanted $375 per cat and on a 20 year olds income that was pushing it pretty hardcore. Not very much luck living in a small town at the time. We have an appointment to take her and the kittens in for check ups / spayed when ready.

Tink is being an amazing mommy right now. I'll peak in on her and catch tink laying on her back with usually the black and orange kitten passed out on her tummy (its so cute) I'm putting a picture of it up right now hehe.

It was $250 to get both kittens neutered, and I know a spay is more, as
it is a more intrusive surgery, plus they have to stay over night, the
neuters don't.

Try looking thru your newspaper, in the pet section, they usually have
an advertisement for low cost s/n.

Or contact your local humane assoc, they might be able to recommend
a low cost s/n.

If, your on the east coast, I have alot of contacts, I show all over the east
coast, paw mail me, and I can help find you a vet.

Best of luck. big grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grinbig grin

Eeek.

Tink just started to move her kittens into the living room where other cats are. Our other 2 cats are very curious about the kittens and it's a very uneasy feeling. I like them back here in this room so I can keep an eye on them and make sure the other adult cats stay away.

Should I let her keep them out there with a flow of people & 2 cats?
