This forum is for cat lovers seeking everyday advice and suggestions on health-related issues. Remember, however, that advice on a public forum simply can't be a substitute for proper medical attention. Only your vet can say assuredly what is best for your cat. Best to keep them seperate until you know the stray has a clean bill of health!

| Purred: Sat Sep 27, '08 5:50pm PST | | | | | | You need to ask the vet what they think, and ask if your kitty can be put on some L-lysine, this will help you stop from shedding the virus so easily (if this is what youhave) You can get L-lysine at the drug store, make sure it is a pure form with not so many other added things in it. Wilson is on this for his sneezing. | | | | |

Treat me like- the princess I- am |
| Purred: Wed Oct 1, '08 7:51am PST | | | | | | It could be sneezing cuz it got something in its nose, allergies, a regular cold, an upper respiratory infection or a disease. Take the new kitty to the vet asap. The new cat can have your toys/bowls but once new kitty has had them you cant have them back untill the vet says the new kitty is ok. | | | | |

| Purred: Fri Oct 3, '08 11:56pm PST | | | | | | Usually sneezing is either an allergy or an URI (upper respiratory infection-- basically like a human cold). Do you notice any other symptoms-- drool, mucous in the eye, stuffy nose, difficulty breathing? If no, then yes, it could just be allergies, esp. if she is cleared disease-wise by the vet.
Have you been using any pesticides, cleaning agents, etc. that might get her nose irritated?

Bunny
Who's that- pretty kitty? |
| Purred: Sat Oct 4, '08 12:03am PST | | | | | | This is Bunny's Meowmy.
I don't know about the cleaner stuff as I'm only 17 and my mom's in charge of that, but I've never seen those symptoms on her. She's been sneezing a lot less though and is acting very healthy. I'm pretty sure it was either a cold or allergies.
