Bringing toys to the foodbowl

Our meowmy is curious..

Whenever my sister and me go to our foodbowl, we often bring a kitty toy with us, and leave it there as we eat. Most of the time we'll just leave it there and go back for it sometime later. Is there a reason behind this or are we just quirky? MOL

I'd assume it's an extension of the kill then eat cycle. Cats hunt/stalk, then kill and then feast. So you're bringing your kill to your feast.

Every day my owner comes home from work to find that I have dropped my toy rat either in the food bowl or right in front of the food bowl. I'm trying to tell him that this food is not even fit for the rats! But he just doesn't get it ....
