Is biting and purring normal?

Ish is a 6m old kitten and very affectionate, that said she purrs while biting me. Does not draw blood, just bites. Normal?

A lot of cats, especially kittens, have an oral fixation leftover from nursing and will give "love bites" when feeling affectionate. If she's not hurting you or drawing blood, I'm guessing this is what's happening.

Ben was like that when he was young. I got him to stop biting, for the most part, by saying "OWWW!" really loud every time he bit or opened his mouth to bite. He still nibbles on my fingers or gives me a little nip on my nose when he's really super-happy and gets carried away, but that's rare.
way to go

Good luck! Ish is an adorable kitty!hug
