Arrival Story:
I was getting ready to watch my customary hour of FRASIER reruns when I got a call from a friend. She told me she had caught a little kitten in the parking garage of our work (hospital). There are lots of feral kitties there so I assumed it was a feral kitten. I drove down (missing my FRASIER of course) and brought him home (she'd put him in her car). He was nothing short of purr-fectly adorable! He went to the vet the next day and tested negative for all the bad things! HOORAY!! I decided to keep him even though I already have too many cats!

Bio:
My dad passed over Feb 11 of this year. I had just returned from Washington, where my brother and I went to spread his ashes, at Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic Mountains where he grew up. It was a magical experience, with my brother and I bonding in a way we never imagined possible!! I believe my dad sent Russell to me because I'd been wanting a cuddle kitty so badly! In other words, I longed for a cat that would be as co-dependent and needy as I am! Russell passed the first test by laying across my lap as I watched FRASIER the next night. Actually, he has passed every "test" and is a sweetheart beyond words! It looks like his whiskers had been cut :( and the vet thought so too. I do not think he was feral; I think someone dumped him there and I will ALWAYS be grateful to my bestie Sandy for calling me and asking me to take him. THANK YOU SANDY!!! And thank you God and daddy, for sending me such a little earth angel!

What a Day!

Well, Marvel Ann and I finally got to go on our first date! I say first, cause I hope it's the first of many! Her brothers accompanied us as chaperones cause we are both so young, but I would NEVER do anything to tarnish Marvel Ann's stellar reputation or cause her distress. With that being said, quite honestly, it was fun to have them along and make it a family affair! Maybe next time I'll invite someone too! The more the merrier!

Marvel Ann was simply stunning in her dress with the purple feathers around the neck. She wore the pretty necklace my meowmy made for her. She is so pretty with the pink! We found a lovely group of willow trees down by the river and spread a blue blanket to sit on. The birds were singing and the silver fish shimmered in the sun as they swam and jumped down the river. Orvis opened a big picnic basket with all kinds of goodies! At the end of our lunch we had some catnip tea and were kind of tired and just lounged around telling stories. Taz can really spin a tale!

Too soon it was time to go home... We all sang some songs to keep ourselves awake. Marvel Ann has a beautiful, melodic meow! When we got home I shook hands with Orvis and Taz and they turned to go inside. I looked at Marvel Ann and gave her a little kiss on her cheek! Her whiskers tickled me! We both laughed and she blushed a deep pink. We said good -bye and promised to meet up again!
