Coloration: Blue
Likes: Laser light, treats, his blue mouse and his kitten ball, sucking his thumb, kisses and his squishy mouse.
Pet-Peeves: The water bottle. He's absolutely disdainful of farts. He cries and squirms when picked up. And he loathes having his nails trimmed.
Favorite Toy: Everything from furry mice to cat dancers to toilet paper. He'll make a plaything out of anything!
Favorite Nap Spot: In his bed or with his meowmmy
Favorite Food: Bonito Flakes. Whiskas seafood pack -- only as a little treat. Pounce. He's also quite fond of his l-Lysine treats!
Skills: Vogue-ing, fly killing, playing catch, bird watching, thumb sucking and giving kisses on command. He's also learning how to unlatch the toddler lock on the toilet seat. And he's probably the greatest toilet paper artist in all of Brooklyn.

Arrival Story: My first Russian Blue, Felix, passed away on March 30, 2009, after a lengthy illness. After a week of major guilt over wanting to adopt again after my grief was so new, I found a Russian Blue kitten named "Teeny Tiny" on the Bideawee (in Manhattan) website.
I called immediately, only to find out that he was on medical hold. I was, however, permitted to go in to meet with the ktten just to see if we were compatable.
That very first night, I fell in love, and I fell hard. Coopurr jumped into my lap and didn't want to leave. He gave me kisses and nearly fell asleep with his head on my leg.
For the next month, it was back and forth. I'd visit him as often as I could, and just kept hoping for some good news on his eye ulcers that just didn't want to heal.
Finally...on April 30 -- one month to the day of Felix's passing -- I officially adopted Coopurr.
After seeing a veterinary ophtalmologist over the course of the spring and summer, I'm very relieved to say that his eye has healed. In fact, he won't even need surgery!
Bio: Coopurr is named after CNN anchor extraordinaire, Anderson Cooper. They're both silver foxes, so the name suits him well. His full name is Coopurr Anderson Hays Vanderbilt Novak.
Coop is a very affectionate kitten, giving lots of kisses and sleeping with me every night.
His energy is astounding. He enjoys playing like a clumsy but tough little boy and changes his favorite toy every day. However, he perfers anything with feathers or any toy that remotely resembles vermin.
He's now settled in his forever home, and gets as much love as he gives. Oh, and he's no longer "Teeny Tiny"!

Oh, the lovely peeps who write the content for this wonderful website really did something super-wonderful on this week's front page. Some intelligent creature decided that it would be helpful to post an article called, "HOW TO TRIM A CAT''S NAILS."
Are they CRAZY? After all of my little troubles with the pawdecures...they go and post a HOW-TO??? Do they READ MY DIARY? Do they not UNDERSTAND that the Big C just cannot have them trimmed...(unless Meowm shoves me into the carrier and takes me into the pouring rain to the vet to have them done.)
One snip too close, and it's lethal, I'm telling you. Well...maybe not quite that bad...but bad enough. And I don't know about you -- but I just don't trust the humans enough to do it.
It ain't a trimmin' -- it's TRAUMA. In the third degree!
Now...somecat has to get off this computer and figure out how he's going to keep his Meowmmy off the computer until they take that horrible, nasty, scarey story down. She CANNOT see it.
Nobody tell her, OK? And BOYCOTT NAIL TRIMMINS!!!!
My bud Kally Kat tagged me in a fun Valentine's Day game! Answer these questions then tag five others.
1. Do you have a Valentine?... If so... who?
Nope -- unless Meowmmy counts. I'm not allowed to date until I"m three years old.
2. If not... do you wish you did? ... Is there anyone particular?... Or would you rather be single? ...Why?
I'm kinda still a baby. I mean...I still suck my thumb on a nightly basis. I think I'll enjoy the single life for now.
3. What’s your favorite Love Song?... Who sings it?
"Rock n Roll Heart" by Eric Clapton. It's the only song I like! (Meowm plays mostly crappy 80s stuff!)
4.What would be a Perfect Valentines Day for you?
Just a nice day with Meowm...maybe get a new toy...and treats!
