Quick Bio:
-mixed breed
-pound cat
Coloration: Gray
Likes: Getting into things she shouldn't, being in the way, swatting everything off the bathroom counter onto the floor, eating houseplants and fresh flowers, being generally ornery, belly rubs, complaining when she gets kicked off the bed.
Pet-Peeves: The Stripy Girls, trips to the v-e-t, not getting attention, getting kicked off the bed (not literally!) when I need to make it.
Favorite Toy: Jingle Fish and Jingle Sheep, also balls of cat fur from the Furminator.
Favorite Nap Spot: Anyplace where I've left clothes that I DO NOT want cat fur on. She loves a basket full of warm laundry fresh from the dryer. She also likes to bask in the sun that comes in through the skylights.
Favorite Food: Salad greens, especially spinach.
Skills: She sits, shakes (gives paw), stands on her hind legs, and spins. She also has excellent eye-paw coordination and has a high batting average when it comes to swatting toys that are tossed to her.
Dwells:
indoors
Arrival Story: Heloise and Abelard adopted me on the Saturday after Thanksgiving 1995, a few months after I moved into my house. I had the names picked out, so I needed cats to match. Heloise was a kitten of about eight weeks, in a cage by herself at the local humane society. When I asked to see her, the volunteer took her out of her cage and put her in my hands. As I held her up to look at her, she planted a little kiss right on my lips. That did it--she came home with me that day, along with Abelard.
Bio: She was always friendly and affectionate but not cuddly, until the Stripy Girls moved in. Now she is Miss Jealous and quite the lap cat. She has always been a show-off and loves visitors.
Lives Remaining: 7 of 9

My human gets to have all the fun. I'm stuck inside all the time, and she goes out BIRDING. What's crazy is that she doesn't try to catch birds, she just looks at them through these weird black things with lenses in them and tries to identify them by what they look and sound like. WHO CARES? Just let's attack them and eat them already.
To add insult to injury, after she went birding, she went to an event called Bark in the Park. Does she not get that we're CATS??? Well, OK, it was for a good cause. She raised $140 for the Humane Society of Greater Akron and got a T-shirt and a bandana. The bandana is supposed to be for PETS, but she's wearing it around her neck! Well, I suppose I can live with that, since I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a bandana, and I don't think the Stripy Girls would like wearing it, either. But it might be fun to attack.
I barely remember the time I spent at the HSGA. When I was a baby, a nice lady found me, but she couldn't keep me, so she took me there. The day my human came to find two cats to be adopted by, I knew I wanted to go home with her, so I meowed and meowed, and it WORKED! So I guess I'm glad she did something nice for the HSGA, even if it was an event geared for DOGS.
Our human came home with dog slobber on her jeans--yechhhhh! How uncouth! She walked a mile at the park to "earn" her pledge donations, and she said she'd never seen so many pampered pooches gathered together before. She said she definitely felt in the minority, being a cat person (she did wear a cat T-shirt and her "Meow" earring), but at least Orbit, the Akron Aeros mascot, was there, so she wasn't the only cat person.
