fresh start

oh boy

that little guy is something else! he was a little scared at first but now he's just a little freako MOL gets in to absolutely EVERYTHING!
his energy is contagious though & we've all been playing quite a LOT
papa says I remind him of Gracie with her relaxed cattitude & love for food MOL I just smile & purr at him when he says that...mama says I'm just Lu being Lady Blue & I've been curling up on the bed with them when they're sleeping

Settling in...

wow! I'm settling in more each day... I eat all the leftovers that Siouxsie, Fela, & Ayla don't eat so I've gained some weight MOL *looks at her tummy* I think I'd like to maintain this weight & my pawrents are going to help me stay a healthy weight. I figure, I had a coupe of litters to make up for because they got all my weight MOL *beams thinking of her kittens* sometimes, at night when the house is quiet, I walk around carrying a toy hamster or mousie & cry so loud that papa gets up to make sure I'm okay... mama says she thinks I miss my babies (I do miss them)
it's taking time to adjust to not having little ones to watch over like I used to...I still scan everything, everywhere, constantly though...but I'm not short on lovins that's for sure! MOL
Siouxsie will sweetly wash my face & Ayla likes to wrestle... Fe is still a bit of a mystery to me though - he's shy so I guess it'll take a while but I'm not offended
every chance I get for 1-on-1 time, I take it! I soak up the attention & affection like nobody's business & just purrr & purrrrr
I still get a little skittish with big noises or fast movements (like when mama is playing chase games with the other Kits) but I find a spot, out of the way, where I can watch the action. Last night, I even joined in!!

updates!

first, I'd like to thank my sweet Auntie Sally & my Canadian cousins Jobel, Jillian, & Jasper for the beautiful background picture! it's purrrrfect!! *happy purrs*

I arrived here on March 6, tired & sore (got spayed the day before), had a nice warm quiet room to myself! no kittens to watch over for the first time in I don't know how long! needless to say, I slept most of the first weekend here...I'm told here is home now *content purrs* that's purrfectly fine by me MOL
my pawrents came in to check on me, sit with me (even when I was asleep they just wanted to be near so I could get used to them), feed me, scoop my potty box, brush me & give me Greenies!! Have you tried these things? WOW! yummy crunchiness efurrycat should enjoy!

Tuesday, I went to meet Dr Cookingham. She agreed that I need to gain a little weight (7.74lbs) however given that I just recently stopped nursing kittens she said it's normal for a recent kittymama...she was very nice & gentle. I liked her!

Wednesday, I got to come out of quarantine & "Officially" meet Siouxsie, Ayla, & Fela! Siouxsie was so sweet! she kissed my nose, licked my face, then she bit my head (which I thought was odd but she hasn't done it since - maybe that's just her welcome?), Ayla sort of said hi but just wanted my food MOL silly little Bell! Fela wasn't quite so welcoming...he started to sniff me but when I looked at him he hissed at me & backed away...he did that a few times that first night but not since...I think he was playing hard to get or something (?) mama says he's a shyboy & she hopes I wasn't offended MOL

things are furtastic! I have fun romping with Siouxsie & Ayla, play tons with catnip-hamsters (even woke my pawrents trilling & meowing at the nip-sters), balls, & all sorts of toys! there's always food in the dishes (at the absolute least there's crunchy food if the canned stuff is gone), plenty of water & noone smacking me in the face when I use the *ahem* facilities *blush*

today, I lounged in the sun, while Siouxsie gave me quite the relaxing lovely facial & head massage with her tongue & I dozed off for a while. I like pal-ing around with Sioux - she's so much fun & so thoughtful!
