Arrival Story:
I saw a Ragdoll mix at a local shelter and went to see about adopting her, but she already had found a new family. This sent me on my mission to have a Ragdoll kitty! I checked online for Ragdol rescues and couldn't find any that were in a reasonable distance so I made some calls to breeders within the four 4-state area and got a call from a Ragdoll Cattery in Virginia. The owner wanted to sell "Emma" b/c she had a Upper Respiratory Infection and was expecting 3 littlers of kittens in a few weeks. She preferred not to hae Emma around and tranfer her cold to the new kittens. We decided we wanted her and drove 3 hours to pick her up on March 17, 2007. We thought (and were told for that matter) the URI could be cleared up with a round of anti-biotics.....well it turned out that wasn't the case! Look like our kitty have FVR-1 (Feline Herpes). I am on the search of a homeopathic solution to help relieve "Emma" of her daily symtoms: weezy eye, nasal discharge (complete with boogers), and sneezing. So that how we found our special kitty!
