Likes:
She loves to go outside and stays out even in storms. She also loves to sleep with me and cuddle at night. She's crazy about catnip once you get her to notice it.

Pet-Peeves:
Nothing seems to really bother her. She's very mellow.

Favorite Toy:
She has delayed reactions, so she really doesn't "get" most toys. When she's on a catnip buzz, she likes a stuffed mouse to kick around. She also loves for me to chase her occasionally.

Favorite Nap Spot:
In the middle of the floor, or on my bed, or outside during a thunderstorm.

Favorite Food:
Whiskas Cat Milk. She can't get enough of the stuff. And soft treats, and Kitty Party Mix! And raw chicken.

Skills:
Getting me to lift her up on the counter for her treats. She can't jump quite that high. She also has this great trick of sitting down, then leaping in the air and turning 180 degrees. It's the funniest thing.

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
A friend's husband did office building construction, and there were a bunch of feral cats and kittens. They had to get the cats out of there, and my friend brought home a litter. One kitten was obviously sick - she shook like a leaf, fell over when walking, pecked at her food like a bird, and was just generally weird. But she was friendly and beautiful. My friend was afraid if she gave her to a shelter they would just put her down. I took her to my vet, who said she'd had a virus in the womb and her brain hadn't fully developed, but that she would have fewer symptoms as she got older. She wasn't in pain, just odd. So I took her in and was instantly in love. I named her Weeble because she wobbled. (The vet had a kitten with the same condition and had named her Bobble, so I didn't feel too bad about it.)

Bio:
Weeble was hit by a car on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. A neighbor stayed with her while she died. When I got home I was told she was wrapped up in a blanket outside. I pleaded with that blanket not to be her, but it was. I understood the risk of letting her outside but weighed it against the obvious joy she had in being out. I would not change that decision if I had it to do again. She would go out and roll on the sidewalk, in the grass. She loved storms. She loved snow. She scampered when she played. She was clumsy. She couldn't jump as high as other cats, and never learned how to land on her front paws first - she had to jump high enough to land on her back paws. Sometimes she would jump up on the kitchen table this way and slide all the way across, knocking over everything in her path. She had grown into her "wobbly kitty" condition and had few symptoms, but she'd still lose her balance when she shook herself. She would play on the kitchen throw rug and her claws would get caught. She didn't know how to get free so she'd end up lying with part of the rug on top of her, waiting to be rescued. She was very calm when she needed to be rescued. :) She was the only one of the 5 cats who liked cat treats. Hopefully the neighbors can use the Whiskas cat milk and Pounce treats that were waiting at home for her. She was an incredibly special cat. I will miss her to the depths of my soul for a long, long time.
