Arrival Story: We were driving down a busy street at night and thought we saw an opposum crossing the street. We quickly realized it was a kitten. It took two days to catch him because he was a fast runner and good hider. We finally captured him sitting in the middle of a bush.
Bio: We originally thought Newman was a girl. After the first vet visit, she was revealed to be a he! He is named after two Newmans - his "rescuer" thinks his beautiful blue eyes remind her of Paul Newman. The "driver" says he thinks he will be saying "Newman" alot like Jerry did to Newman, the mail carrier, on the Seinfeld television show!

Just in case any girls want to know, I have fresh minty breath. I have a routine. Every day when the MRS. gets done taking a shower, she opens the bathroom door. I'm always waiting right at the door to come in.
The first thing I always do is stretch out my back legs. This cracks her up because she says my pantaloons look so cute. Whatever.
Then I jump on the counter and watch her do all the stuff she does to look better than when she first gets out of bed. I like to walk back and forth on the counter and fling my tail in her face. Sometimes if she has leftover mousse, she will slick down my flyaway fur.
But my favorite part is watching her brush her teeth. I know that when she is finished, it will be my turn. I have my own toothbrush and toothpaste because cats aren't supposed to use human toothpaste. I do a lot of sucking on the toothbrush, but she does her best to get my toofies brushed.
Samoa, Gleek and I are locked in the bedroom this morning. Vivien is downstairs in the laundry room. Violet is in the family room with Sugar.
Three rooms in our house are completely empty. All the furniture from those rooms have been crammed into all the other rooms. I can't even walk in my kitchen or sunroom!
Something is not right here! I don't want to be locked in this room. And to prove it, I'm wrestling with the big lump right now. Oh sure, we stay in this bedroom most of the day on a normal day, but the door isn't closed.
I don't like closed doors! The MRS. says we have to stay in the bedroom until after the carpet cleaners are done. I wonder why we need carpet cleaners?
Last night was a four cat night. The MRS. and the DD had to sleep in the room I'm locked in right now because the giant bed was taken down. The bed is only a double bed, and they are used to a king sized bed. They weren't feeling very royal last night when Vivien was on the MRS. pillow, and Gleek and Violet were at her feet, and I was laying next to her sucking on her arm.
I heard her tell the DD that the big bed has to be back up tonight because she isn't sleeping one more night in that tiny bed. The DD said if she thought that was bad, wait until she has to spend two nights in a tent next November when she does the breast cancer walk.
There was quite an adventure in the living room last night. The MRS. was watching some stupid television show about a boy and a bunch of girls. He is trying to pick one of the girls to marry.
Calvin told me to never sign up for a show like that if I get asked. He said to be careful because my good looks are going to attract a ton of hungry girls - especially as Valentine's Day gets closer. His advice was to tell them they could be my friend girl, but never my girlfriend because I guess we're not allowed to date until we're 21.
Anyway, at one point in the show some girl was wearing a bikini, and I didn't think it was something the MRS. should look at, so I sprung into action!
I'm not sure where I was, but I flew through the air like a ninja warrior, and I landed right on her head - smacked her upside the face and wrapped my paws all over her eyes.
She screamed like some octopus from the ocean had attacked her, and just as quickly as I protected her from the bikini girl, I jumped off her head and flew out of the room.
Yeah, she is gonna say that I scratched her face, but it was all done to protect her from realizing that she will never be able to wear a bikini.
