Arrival Story:
Carson was one of four kittens that a stray mama cat had in the bushes next to my neighbors house. Once they were mobile mama moved them to shelter under my neighbors deck. They would spend the day in my yard climbing trees, and playing. One by one the kittens disappeared. I had fallen in love with the Carson, and was determined to catch him. He was afraid to let me get close to him so I started by taking out food and setting it next to me. He was more hungry than scared so he would slowly come up to me to eat, as long as I didn't move. Soon I put a cage outside with a blanket and food and water. He would curl up and sleep in the cage, and got used to going in for food and water. One afternoon, I calmly closed the door and brought him in the house. Within 20 minutes, I was able to pick him up, and he cuddled right up to me and started purring. He hasn't stopped purring since!
