So spring is here, and Mom put the tray of bird seed out.
I love to sit and watch the birdies.
Why does Mom call them "Birdies". I think they should be called "Lunchies"
Anyway, Mom will sit with me and watch the "lunchies" hop, chirp, and flit about. Those "lunchies" sure are funny critters!
Mom will sit and watch them with me.
She likes to sit with me because I'm her favorite.

I am not a “thug”.
I am not a “knave”.
I am just misunderstood.
I am an adventurer, a fearless explorer, the one who challenges the status quo.
Who, I ask, was the first to climb over the giant cardboard obstacle that blocked off our kitten room from access to the house? Me.
Who, I ask, played and wrestled with the runt of the litter, my dear brother Pippin, to help him become more strong and agile? Me.
Who was the first to climb on the banister and walk with grace and balance down its length, despite the nigh 20 ft drop? Me.
Who discovered that the “linen closet” was full of wonderfully soft, cushiony blankets and pillows for blissful naptimes? Me.
Who discovered which “child locks” were loose enough to pop open, with some perseverance, so as to access the yummy treats in the microwave cart? Me.
I am the one who convinced Mom we all needed our own eating spaces.
I am the one who braves Mom’s displeasure to hunt down the crickets in the kitchen.
I am the one who also convinced her to keep the smelly garbage in another room behind closed doors.
And what kind of credit or thanks do I get? Derision and scorn.
Well, I don’t care what “Miss Sweet Pansey Momcat Teaka” or “Miss Pretentious Drama Queen Belle” say about me!
I’m James Dean in “Rebel Without a Cause”
I’m Marlin Brando in “A Streetcar Named Desire”
I’m Steve McQueen!
I'm...
ooooooo! belly rubs!
*purrs*
I’m Momma’s favorite.

Mom thought she was clever,
But I could smell it.
Chicken!
In the toaster oven.
She put it there, in a heavy ceramic pan, and shut the door.
As if that could stop me, HA!
Easy enough to open the door.
A small challenge to work the bag of frozen chicken out of the pan.
Darn.
It was still cold and hard,
But fun to drag around the kitchen anyway.
Well, since I'm too lazy to put it back,
I guess I'll leave it out.
Maybe I can make it look like the dog did it.
Doesn't matter.... I'm still Mom's favorite.
