Likes: Stalking little critters in the courtyard, sleeping with us at night

Skills: Opening drawers, cupboard doors, getting his way tactfully (he makes you think its your idea)

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: If you read Suleiman's story then you know Farouk's. To keep it short, he was rescued as a sickly kitten from a garbage dump in Greece and brought back to live in Kentucky. (see Suleiman the Magnificent) He learned about American cars the hard way and after having his hind leg shattered in eight places he is one car savvy cat. (See the picture with the blue bandages covering the pins) He is "The Cat of the Neighborhood" welcomed and loved by all, even the dog owners. Totally unspoiled, street smart, absolutely loveable and neutered of course.

Bio: Our beloved Farouk is no longer with us. He was hit by a car early last Friday morning (07/29/05). It is hard to put into words how much he meant to us and how devastated we are by his death. I open the door and call for him then realize he will be coming home no more. I fill his outside water dish then realize only the chipmunks will be using it. I seem to see him everywhere I look....patrolling the neighborhood...at the back gate stalking the chipmunks....on my bed when I come upstairs, napping on his chair on the front porch. Then the tears come again and I just can't believe he's gone. We are so very grateful for the time he was with us and take comfort in knowing he lived longer here with us than he ever would have as a feral cat in Greece. You are going to be mourned and missed by your many human friends here in your neighborhood, Rouke.
It was so hard to check the box that says you are no longer with us.
Oh, Rouke.....we loved you so much and miss you terribly.
All our love, Mom & Dad
